The 3-inch long pencil holder has a horizontal expansion slot. The two pieces of .75 inch hook Velcro hooks (each 1.25 inches long) ensure that the pencil stays right where you put it.

The plastic tube is also a “pencil point protector” for when you toss the Seize the Idea clipboard into your backpack or briefcase.

DSC_3108 RET GLOW IN DARK

In actuality, there is much less glow. In fact, pencil writing is barely legible. (Ink from a stick pen provides more contrast). But this darkness is actually a good thing.

Why? Because at night your own personal supercomputer kicks in. Your subconscious mind is over 1 million times more powerful than your conscious mind

Sure, you can turn on the light and write to your hearts content, but that puts your conscious mind back on alert. The soft green dreamy glow from the clipboard will not disrupt your approaching-slumber state.

Though dim, you still clearly see the dreamy glow of the clipboard and attached pencil on your bedside table. It beckons for your brilliant ideas.

Caveat: You can only use one or two sheets of paper on it at a time, with the glow becomes too dark.

But the purpose is not writing a novel; it's for jotting brief ideas or simple sketches. You can (and should) fill in the blanks first thing in the morning.

The side benefit is that once you've transferred your brilliant thoughts to paper, you can now “rest easy,” without the "I must remember that" feeling echoing around your brain.
